Freshly Ground MurderFreshly Ground Murder by Tonya Kappes

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the third in the Killer Coffee Mystery series. Each and very book just gets better and better. I want to move to Honey Springs and have coffee at the Bee Hive and probably adopt a dog or 3 😉 Tonya describes the town so well I feel as if I am actually there. I enjoy the interaction between all the characters especially Roxy’s Mom and Aunt. Looking forward to the next in the series. Or anything written by Tonya Kappes.

Hardheaded (Deep in the Heart, #1)Hardheaded by Kim Law

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What a wonderful and fun read. I love that this book is based on a company run entirely by women. Three foster sisters start their own construction company and that the main character wields a mean sledgehammer. Definitely my kind of women. Throw in a ex husband that’s HOT and a HGTV like reality show and things heat up.

Jill sees the show as a way to to rise above their reputation as “she-shed” builders, into a true construction company.

I’ll be anxiously awaiting the next installment of this delightful series .

Her Last Goodbye (Morgan Dane #2)Her Last Goodbye by Melinda Leigh

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I am really enjoying the path Melinda is taking with this series. It’s heartwarming to see how her characters deal with loss and continuing on with life after the loss of a loved one. Morgan and Lance are taking things slow yet moving forward. Morgan has a great deal on her plate, yet finds time to fight for justice and solve day to day problems and help those who need her. Anxiously awaiting the next in this series.

Hook, Line and Blinker (Miss Fortune Mystery #10)Hook, Line and Blinker by Jana Deleon

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

As usual, Fortune, Ida Bell and Gertie are up their necks in a mystery. Ida’s Bells’ mechanic Hot Rod was found beaten and tells the medics he needs to warn Ida, then he falls into a coma. The Swamp team have no idea what he needs to warn her about. So, of course, they decide to break into his garage and nothing goes right. Gertie manages to blow up her purse because she’s carrying around stick of dynamite . Sheriff Lee from Mudbug makes a hilarious appearance. Celia calls the Feds and reports Ida Bell and Gertie are making moonshine. The agents are caught by Fortune sneaking around and thoroughly embarrasses them when she takes them both out single handed. The Swamp Team get the funniest revenge on Celia. Flaming poop is involved in the revenge.

Fortune may finally see the light at the end of the tunnel in the search for Ahmed. But where is her life headed when he is found, what of her relationship with Carter. I want these questions answered but I also don’t want the adventures to ever end.

The Darkest Corner (Gravediggers #1)The Darkest Corner by Liliana Hart

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What a wonderful book. I’ve been a fan of Liliana Hart for sometime now, but, this book just absolutely blew me away. A cross between JJ Graves and the Mackenzie men with some Tom Clancy thrown in, I couldn’t put it down. Romance, suspense, intrigue and action packed from the first page to the last.

Tess is a mortician in a small Texas town, who tries to fly under the radar. She is not aware of how attractive she is and how strong she can be. Tess knows Deacon is more than what is seen on the surface. and that her attraction to him can be her undoing.

Deacon is a dead man walking. A man for all intents and purpose dead to all that knew him in his former life. He has been betrayed by his country and the agency to which he gave most of his life, has disavowed him. A black ops agent with no country to serve, he is recruited as a Gravedigger. He is given a single mission and that is to save the world, He knows he shouldn’t fall in love, but then he meets Tess and all bets are off.

Deacon and his team are assigned the task to stop a terrorist attack known as The Day of Destiny. He discovers Tess has skills that can make this mission a success. But, can he work this close with Tess and not have his heart broken? Can he trust her with his secrets and his heart ?

I strongly recommend to anyone to read this book, you will not be disappointed.

The Hitwoman Takes a Road Trip (Confessions of a Slightly Neurotic Hitwoman #17)The Hitwoman Takes a Road Trip by J.B. Lynn

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Maggie is driving Armani, God and Piss on a road trip in a RV, so, nothing can go wrong, right ? WRONG.

Maggie’s heart is breaking because her niece Katie is doing so well with Darlene, Maggie’s dead sisters first choice to care for Katie. She is wondering why her sister felt she wasn’t good enough, she’s killed to take care of Katie for goodness sake. To add insult to injury, Katie is flourishing with Darlene .

So, she lets Armani talk her into a road trip. Along the way she runs into Whitehat and is coerced into helping Zeke with a case. Maggie’s father shows up and disappears yet again. Then Piss talks Maggie into taking her to her former abusive home, where they rescue Benny the mouse.

I missed seeing more of Angel and DeeDee, but enjoyed meeting Ian and Benny and seeing more of Mike. More Mike please JB.

When Maggie takes the RV back, she runs in to Delveccio and makes her a offer she maybe can’t refuse. I’m already looking forward to the next book.
